The Diocesan Center in New York will be the venue for a special presentation honoring the 500th anniversary of Armenian printing, featuring a talk by Zakarya Mildanoglu, a columnist for the Agos Weekly of Istanbul, will be the keynote speaker, delivering his remarks in Armenian. Hagop Vartivarian will be the master of ceremonies. The event is co-sponsored by the Armenian-American Support & Educational Center; Constantinople Armenian Relief Society Inc.; Krikor & Clara Zohrab Information Center; Esayan-Getronagan Alumni, Inc.; Gomidas Choir of the Diocese; Hamazkayin of New York; Tekeyan Cultural Association of N.Y. and N.J.; Tibrevank Alumni, Inc. Featuring remarks by Aram Hamparian (Armenian National Committee of America), Prof. Simon Payaslian (Boston University), Karen Hakobian (a human rights activist in Armenia) and Garo Yegnukian, Esq. (Policy Forum Armenia fellow in Armenia). The 19-year-old saxophonist, singer, composer and arranger has played at Lincoln Center and was voted Best Jazz Act in Boston for the past four years. Dr. Setrag Khoshafian, Chief Evangelist and V.P. of BPM Technology, Pegasystems INC will be the speaker at the dinner meeting of the St. James Armenian Church Men's Club. The Topic will be "2012: The year of doing more with less." The social hour starts with mezza at 6:15 p.m. followed by a complete losh kebab and kheyma dinner at 7 p.m. $12 per person.
